Preparing for an office consult

Patient Information Form [Download]

Initial consultations are usually conducted at our office. Upon arrival you will be required to fill out a form summarizing your medical history. Be sure to bring a list of your current medications. You will then meet with the surgeon to have a discussion about your condition. A relevant physical exam may then be performed. At the end of the consultation, your surgeon will develop your personalized management plan.

Gastroscopies and colonoscopies are performed in the ambulatory care unit at Royal Inland Hospital. Our office will give you instructions for your bowel preparation and hospital arrival times. Because you will be receiving sedation, someone will need to drive you home. Be sure to follow instructions for the bowel preparation closely.
